The VALUES.md platform source code (website, algorithms, infrastructure) is licensed under the MIT License.

You are free to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and/or sell copies of the software for any purpose, including commercial use, with attribution.

2. Research Data — CC-BY-NC 4.0

Anonymous assessment data (ethical dilemma responses, demographics, judgments) is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License.

You are free to:

Share — copy and redistribute the data for non-commercial purposes
Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the data for non-commercial research

Under the following terms:

Attribution — You must give appropriate credit and provide a link to the license
NonCommercial — You may not use the data for commercial purposes without permission

Academic researchers: Contact us for free data access for non-commercial research purposes. Commercial use requires a separate license agreement.

3. User-Generated VALUES.md Files

Individual VALUES.md files generated from user assessments are owned by the users who created them. Users retain full rights to their VALUES.md files and may use them however they wish.
